We are very excited to announce the launch of our brand new exclusive series 'Design Ambassadors' where we find and carefully choose design leaders, influencers and experts around the globe to curate their monthly list of links, exhibitions and events, special projects and who-to-watch in their local design scenes, as Design Ambassadors representing their city.
For our inaugural post we are very proud to introduce you to Los Angeles' Design Ambassador, Leah Ring.
Having worked in design in various cities across the US including New York and San Francisco, Leah landed in Los Angeles a few years ago and is so enthralled with the design community there that she has no intention of leaving. She works at Reath Design as an interior designer and in her free time can be found creating art, sculptures and jewelry in her Atwater Village studio. Leah loves organizing field trips to visit Los Angeles' architectural gems just about as much as she loves breakfast burritos.

Last year at the Wanted Design show in Manhattan I was stopped in my tracks by an iridescent chair unlike anything I had ever seen. The unique angles of the French Touch chair by LA based design duo Joogii ensure that the light interacts with the dichroic film in which the chair is covered in a such a way that is dazzling and, for me, quite mesmerizing. The fact that the chair was inspired by 90’s french house music was just the icing on the cake. This year Joogii expanded the French Touch collection to include more furniture pieces, objects and jewelry that are as delightful in form and playful in color as the original piece which launched the collection.
